NEW DELHI: Air India will operate Boeing 747-400 planes to Kabul for select days in the coming weeks, primarily to ferry cargo. For at least seven days, the national carrier would fly the bigger Boeing aircraft instead of Airbus 320 plane.

Yes Bank under-reported NPAs by over Rs 4,000 crore in FY16
MUMBAI: Mid-sized private sector lender Yes Bank has disclosed the RBI has found a divergence of over Rs 4,000 crore in the non performing assets reported by it and the same assessed by the Reserve Bank for 2015-16. As against the Rs 748.

Solar power tariff drops to historic low at Rs 2.44 per unit
NEW DELHI: Solar power tariff dropped further to hit a new low of Rs 2.44 per unit in the auction conducted for Bhadla solar park. The official added that ACME Solar Holdings emerged as the lowest bidder by quoting Rs 2.44 per unit tariff for 200 MW followed by SBG Cleantech One at Rs 2.

Air India plane overshoots Pune Airport runway
MUMBAI: An Air India flight AI 849 from Delhi to Pune overshot the runway while landing at the destination airport. "An emergency evacuation was carried out.All 152 passengers are safe," said a statement from the airline. The runway has been closed.

Fuel demand in April up 3 per cent from last year
India's fuel demand rose more than 3 percent in April compared with the same month last year. Consumption of fuel, a proxy for oil demand, totalled 16.79 million tonnes, data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the oil ministry showed on Friday.
