Easy way to maintain your power tools, and give them a long life.

We need power tools for making or repairing something. They have become our extended part which helps us in maintaining and improving our homes and used professionally in our workshops.
It is absolutely important to invest in high-quality tools that stay longer with you and do the work efficiently.
A little bit of extra care can keep them away from the hazards of getting hurt. Since they are soo useful we need to take care of these tools and make sure they are in top condition every time you are using them.

So we have laid down 8 things you can do to maintain and protect your power tools.

  1. Always read the instruction manual before using any type of tool. It can seriously damage you or your power tool if not used as per the manufacturer's guidelines.
  2. Unplug the power tool before cleaning it can avoid any accident.
  3. Use a vacuum cleaner or air blower to blow off any extra sawdust on circular saws or chainsaw. It is important to clean it before you use it for any other job.
  4. Wipe the cord of power tool with a dry cloth and check for any damage, if you find a cut on the cord have it replaced immediately.
  5. Completely inspect the body of the tool for any rust, you can use a steel wool to scrape off any sign of rust.
  6. Sometimes the power tools need repairs and at that time you need to check the manufacturer's specifications and not settle down for cheap or other alternatives.
  7. Always check for manual before replacing power tool accessories like drill bits, abrasives etc, just pushing it or forcing anything will only invite trouble for the tool as well as the user.
  8. Always keep the power tools out of reach from children. Use a dry cloth to clean it before and after use. Avoid using water completely on electric items. You can also use a small brush for hard to reach places.
